1. Nature of this site

ContractorCheck Tampa Bay is a community research tool. All contractor profiles, reports, and public records displayed on this site are provided for informational purposes only. Nothing on this site constitutes a legal finding, professional opinion, or endorsement. Information may be incomplete, out of date, or inaccurate.

2. User-submitted reports

Reports are submitted by members of the public and are not independently verified by this site. We moderate submissions for obvious policy violations but cannot guarantee the accuracy of any report. Users who submit reports certify that the content represents their firsthand experience and is truthful to the best of their knowledge. Submitting false or defamatory content may expose the submitter to civil liability.

3. Disputing a report

If you are a contractor or business owner and believe a report about you contains false information, you have several options:

• Claim your profile — verified business owners can post an official response to any report directly on their profile page.
• Submit a correction request — use our contact form to request that a moderator review a specific report. Include the report URL and a description of what is inaccurate.
• Legal removal requests — for defamation claims or DMCA takedown requests, contact us at the address below. We will respond within 10 business days.

4. Public records

Public records shown on contractor profiles (permits, code enforcement cases, court records, license information) are sourced from government databases and are reproduced here for convenience. This site does not create or alter public records. For corrections to public records, contact the originating agency.

5. Limitation of liability

This site is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of this site or reliance on information presented here. Use of this site is entirely at your own risk.

6. Privacy

We collect the email address and name of registered users for account purposes. IP addresses are logged at registration and on report submission to deter abuse. We do not sell or share personal data with third parties. User email addresses are never displayed publicly.
